Jarrah Burl

A$45.00

Spindle Blank

298/62/62mm

SPB#44

A Grade

Jarrah burl is highly desired by woodturners for its rich, warm colour and beautiful grain.

The irregular grain and open formations are caused by irregular growths, making each piece unique. Very hard and resistant to insects, jarrah burl can be challenging to work with but rewards care with a high-gloss finish.

Eucalyptus marginata, commonly known as jarrah, djarraly in Noongar language and historically as Swan River mahogany, is a plant in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.

Timber is sourced from sustainable forests, recycled sources or trees that have fallen and all Timbers have been seasoned naturally.

We can source other Blanks, Timbers and sizes if required, so please contact me if you require any further assistance.
