Eucalyptus Populnea, commonly known as poplar box, Bimble box is a species of small to medium-sized tree that is endemic to eastern Australia.
Red Gum timber can often feature unusual figured grain pattern as well as interesting sap veins and gum pockets.
The heartwood is red to reddish brown. A close grain and very hard timber. Sapwood is wide and distinctly paler. Texture is fine and even.
Due to its close grain and density it sands and polishes to a superb finish.
Timber is sourced from sustainable forests, recycled sources or trees that have fallen and all Timbers have been seasoned naturally.
